As people walked by, they mocked this sad pitiful girl
She felt she'd been betrayed in this cold, unfriendly world.
While deep in her sin, she never thought she'd have to pay.
But the earthly loves she'd once had, were now taken away.

However, she had not always been lonely like this,
She was once bursting with laughter and unending bliss.
But, oh how her entire life had so drastically changed!
This girl once so lovely was now ruined and manged.

This sad little girl was left with nothing to hope for.
Things would never return to the way they'd been before.
Rebelliously she'd turned away from God's holy face,
And now due to her sins, felt unworthy of His grace.

No one wanted to look upon this frightening sight,
For her heart was full of sin, and they longed for the light.
But for her, no light was ahead her future was dim.
That is, until from above, she heard a call from Him

At that instant, an overwhelming joy filled her heart,
For she remembered He said, "from you I'll never depart".
And oh, what power she found in Jesus' great name
For He changed her life and spotless by His blood she became.
