Youth With A Purpose
The sound of praises ringed, the sight of scarves swiveled in the air, And more then 20,000 young adults married Christ in the pyramid shaped convention center in Kansas City, Missouri, on New years Eve for the young Christian adult conference "The Call."
The Call is an assembly for young adult Christian worshipers who want to live radically for Christ, consisting of workshops and speakers pursuing youth to take a serious heartfelt commitment to live for Christ.
"The Call is a response to the ground swell of spiritual desperation in young adults in today's Church," Mike Bickle said who leads the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.
Lou Engle Another leader for The Call who is considered an international prophetic voice to young adults, had brought 400,000 young people to The Call in Washington D.C to commit themselves to a life of prayer and fasting. "The Call for Kansas City will be a solemn day of fasting and prayer on Dec. 31," Engle said.
The New Years eve service young people from ages young as five to 30 fasted and prayed for twelve hours starting at 12 noon to 12 p.m. "It was an unforgettable experience, I have never see so many young be on fire for God it was quite inspirational," said Aswan North, youth pastor of Morning Star Church in Atlanta.
