There is so much to learn from watching those around us, including animals. We always watch others and draw insight from them but do we stop to watch animals to see what insight we can draw from them? This was a new concept for me when I picked up this small gift book that looks like it should be a book for kids rather than for parents. I enjoyed reading through this book and learning how the wild animals all parent their little ones. I learned a lot about animals and their role as parents but can honestly admit that I did not learn how to be a parent from reading through the different stories as the back of the book indicated. I did find the stories entertaining though and feel that it does make a nice novelty gift item for parents, especially those who refer to their children as animals. I guess I am just not the sentimentalist that most people who buy books of this nature are. It is lost on me though I did enjoy reading it. I simply do not see myself as one to buy a book like this but am sure there are others out there who are.
