Not being a football fan I was slow to read the book and just not motivated. But finally I kicked myself into gear, picked up the book, and began reading. I still cannot say taht I was truly awed by the book because the subject is not one of interest to me but I can honestly say that it is a good book and one that will inspire and entertain readers. I plan to pass the book along to my mother who is a die hard football fan as well as to my brother who has slipped away from the Lord. I know for sure they will both enjoy reading the stories of the great football names they cheer for each Sunday. It was encouraging to hear stories and testimonies of faith in Christ from men whose lives are constantly under public scrutiny. It was an eye opening experience for me to see how the experiences these men faced have shaped them to become the men they are now, though that should be no suprise since that is how it is with each of our own lives. The book is full of wonderful pictures that enhance each page. It is an excellent gift book to present to your friends, including a nice dedication page in the beginning. If you are a football fan this book is definately for you.
