CS: Can you share a short testimony with our readers?

AS: I was introduced to Jesus at a very young age, but it wasn’t until I was in High School that I began to really know him and walk intimately with him. I moved from Houston, TX to Dallas, TX and my brother asked me to begin reading Psalms and Proverbs everyday. I did and in a matter of 3 weeks my life was radically changed! God just began to meet me in a way everyday that I had never imagined!

CS: When and how did you accept Christ into your heart?

AS: I was in a revival meeting when I was 5 years old.

CS: If you could meet any one person, past, present or future, who would you meet? Why would you choose that person? What would you ask them?

AS: Probably John the Apostle or one of the four living creatures that are before the throne. I would ask them to tell me about the Glory of God!

I’d love to spend time with King David. I’d ask him everything about how God spoke to him through creation to how he came into such and amazing amount of revelation in his life. I’d also love to ask King Solomon how to go about being a “wise guy”.

CS: What is the most inspirational piece of scripture that you have found that applies to your life?

AS: There are so many but one life verse is Ps. 46:10 (resting in His presence), then for me the whole book of Song of Songs (the beauty of God).

CS: What is the most fascinating piece of Scripture you have studied?

AS: Psalms, Song of Songs and Revelation 4 and 5.

CS: Who, or what, are your biggest influences?

AS: King David
Mother Theresa
St. Francis of Assisi
Abraham Lincoln
Winston Churchill
Teddy Roosevelt
The writings of John the Apostle and King Solomon
Johnny Cash
Keith Green
Bono
Bob Dylan
Stevie Wonder
Bill Withers
The writings of Solomon
Music

CS: Who are some of the other media personalities you have met and what did you think of them?

AS: I haven’t met to many people in the media, but in any kind of a circle christian or not, I think that Michael W. Smith is just about one of the most stand up guys around.
