Prophetic Flow
by Trisha Bleau

CS: How did your group get started? Can you outline the history of your group, past members, changes, etc. you have gone through to get to where you are now as a group?

PF: We just wanted to get together for a New Years eve celebration at our church. We started with about 10 people but as the ministry became in demand it dwindled down to 3 people.

CS: How did you get hooked up with Infinity Records? Did you try to get picked up by other labels before signing with Infinity?

PF: They heard us at a friends house, liked it and contacted us! We had talked to another label but they were not ministry focused.

CS: Can you briefly share the backgrounds you have? Your website speaks of coming from a harder life. Can you share how this has effected your ministry and helped you to better minister to the needs of people?

PF: All of us are familar with a drug and gang type of environment. We use our previous experiences as a stepping stone to promote a gospel with no exuses about were your from.

CS: What is your target audience? Youth? Young adults? Christians? Non Christians? Anyone who will listen?

PF: We target youth however we do not limit the ministry to certain age groups. We also like to do worship.

CS: Do you write your own music? Where do you get ideas for it?

PF: Yes. Past experiences, The Bible, our Pastor and the personal revelations God gives us.

CS: Do you ever face criticism for your style of music? For your lyrics?

PF: The style yes! When the lyrics are heard this seems to be received easier because they are the word of God!

CS: What kind of support do you get from your communities? From your churches? From your families?

PF: Everyone that is immediately involved with the vision is very supportive. Community support could be better but we understand that so many rappers are perceived as carnal christians.

CS: Are you involved in any other ministries?

PF: Not at this time.

CS: What kind of training do you have in music? Did you take lessons to obtain the skills you have today?

PF: We have been on praise and worship teams at our church. This has given us the ability to flow in the Spirit.

CS: What is the latest news on your group? Any plans for a second album?

PF: We have an EP right now. We are preparing to work with Groovesound in January to finish the album. We are presently working to be at the Youth Evangelism Conference in the Alamodome in 2003. We will also be at the 2003 Dove Awards! After completion of the album we will go on a tour to various cities!

CS: What advice would you give to the youth of our world?

PF: Keep God first! God is no respector of persons so no matter how young you are God desires a personal relationship with you!

CS: Do you have any final comments to share with our readers?

PF: The common theme at a Prophetic Flow concert is that "the music is anointed!" So if we are in your area come on out so we can praise God together!
