CS: I have read so much about the group coming together during the production of your first album. Your group had a unique way of forming. How do you think that has affected you as a group?

TA: Its made it tough. We actually came together after the finishing of the record. I was unsure of being a solo artist or a solo artist with a band. I chose the band.

CS: What is the main focus in your ministry? Teens? The lost? The hurting?

TA: Anyone who doesn't know Christ. The hopeless really.

CS: Where do you see Plumb in five years? Ten? The future?

TA: I have great hopes and aspirations, but its really not up to me. I hope to be married, and still doing this Lord Willing.

CS: How has the group changed since you started out?

TA: Well, I am actually "Plumb", there have been various player changes, but that comes with any artist. Its labeled a band more for the musical aspect than who plays for me. It gets better all the time. God is gracious. The "Boys" are amazingly talented! I am blessed.

CS: What is the biggest thing you have learned from touring and ministering through music?

TA: That I am nothing. God can or can't choose to use me. Its my privilege to be used by him. I am often humbled and amazed at how consistent and faithful he is, even when I am not. I have learned how to trust him more than anything. Real faith building.

CS: Where do you get ideas for your music?

TA: Everywhere. That's an open ended question. Through happy and sad, my life and others. Everywhere.

CS: Along those same lines, where did the idea for drug-store Jesus come from?

TA: The CCM music industry really. A drugstore Jesus is a false imitation of the real thing, Christ. There is a lot of that I have learned in the industry where Jesus is a marketing tool. I am saddened by that greatly. But, Galatians 6, read that.

CS: I have read that there is some controversy over a few of the things you sing about, like sexual abuse, verbal abuse, drugs, etc. How do you deal with the controversy that goes with the message in your music?

TA: Controversy or uncomfortable-ness? I sing about what real people go through, Christian or non-Christian. Its life. And I believe it to be helpful to be able to let others know simply that they aren't alone in what they struggle with, that in itself is hopeful I think. But to add hope to such a hopeless situation, that's a real honor. Why waste that opportunity?

CS: Who, aside from Jesus, is or has been the biggest influence in your life?

TA: Integrity and value in general? My mom. Style, fashion....My favorite collectors item, Audrey Hepburn

CS: How do you fill your spare time while on tour?

TA: Its not hard. Lots of songs to write, interviews to do, and family and friends to spend time with to make up for that which is lost when you are away. Not to mention good thrift stores in Nashville.

CS: When do you find time for personal worship while touring?

TA: Its difficult. Open on stage, or on days off at a local church. But in my hotel room I have some intense wonderful moments with Jesus Christ.

CS: Do you have an accountability partner or prayer partner to keep you encouraged and uplifted?

TA: Yes. Several. One is my family. They are very involved in my spiritual walk. Second is my beloved gentlemen caller (boyfriend) Jeremy, with whom I speak every day and is my closest Earthy friend. There is also, my pastor from home, and my official accountability partner/mentor Brenda. We try to meet every other week, schedules permitting.

CS: Have you always had a desire to sing in a group like this?

TA: No, just to sing.

CS: Do you sing anywhere else just for fun? Like maybe in the shower or while cleaning or driving, etc. And if you do, do you sing your own music or someone else's?

GA: Someone else's unless I have just written a song. In the car a lot I sing, as I am also am able to admit that I talk to myself too!

CS: Do you find it strange to hear yourself singing on the radio?

TA: Yes, its an honor.

CS: Do you have any advice to give to the youth of our world?

TA: Yes. Where to begin would be hard in one question. But I want the youth of today to know how much power they have to make a difference, they are told this so often, but its so true. To say pure. And live a life in respect to the person who died for them doing as he would ask them to do, there is no greater honor and privilege than that, and he promises to bless if we obey.

1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden. 6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. 11 Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. 12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. 17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. 18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen
