CS: How did your group form? Please share with us how your group formed and any changes it went through after forming.

NS: NewSong started in a local church in Valdosta, Georgia as a result of opportunities that God had been providing for us to sing and share the Gospel across the region.

CS: How long has the group been in existence, not counting any possible changes in members?

NS: NewSong has been together for over 22 years.

CS: What is the main focus in your ministry? Teens? The lost? The hurting?

NS: The main focus of NewSong is evangelism.

CS: Do you make it a goal to use your music to minister to people?

NS: We want our music to minister to people, but also to break down barriers so we can share the Gospel with them.

CS: How would you describe your music style?

NS: Our music style is Adult Contemporary / Pop.

CS: What is the biggest thing you have learned from performing and ministering through music?

NS: God is faithful to show up at every concert and change lives.

CS: Where do you get ideas for your music? What is the message you are trying to get across with your music?

NS: t is hard to pinpoint where the ideas for our music comes from. Mainly our songs are an overflow of what God is doing in our lives and what He is teaching us. We want people to know that a personal relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in life.

CS: What is the most inspirational piece of scripture that you have found that applies to your life?

NS: There are many scriptures that come to mind, but the NewSong verse is Psalm 40:1-3.

CS: Please share a short testimony about what God has done during one of your concerts.

NS: God faithfully shows up at each concert and does an eternal work in people's lives. We have seen people who came to the concert prepared to commit suicide afterward and then God touches their life and they have real reason to live!

CS: What is the latest news on your group? Any new CD's to be released soon?

NS: We have just finished our latest project "More Life" which will be released in September.

CS: Do you have any advice to give to the youth of our world?

NS: As you struggle to find out who you are and what your purpose in life is, the most important decision you can make is to commit your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior and have a personal relationship with Him. He loves you unconditionally and His plan for your life is so much better than anything you can imagine.
