CS: Can you share a short testimony with our readers?

TD: I was born into a Christian family and have been raised in the church all of my life.  I don't have a huge testimony that I've been delivered from alcohol or drugs, but what I can tell you is that God has NEVER failed me!  I never thought that I would be able to use music the way God has allowed!  God orchstrated a gentleman to come into my life that would be my producer.  His name is Jim Daneker and he is also the traveling keyboardist for Michael W. Smith.  With God, Jim and I recorded my first project, "More Of You".  Now, I testify of Him!

CS: What is the biggest thing God has done during one of your concerts/gigs?
TD: God has always done wonderful things during my concerts, but the most recent was a man sitting in his seat said that during a praise and worship time in the concert, he was healed of life-long back problems.

CS: How would you describe your music style?

TD: I would describe my music style as praise and worship/contemporary.

CS: Do you have an accountability partner or prayer partner to keep you encouraged and uplifted?

TD: Yes, my best friend, Chuck.

CS: Who, or what, are your biggest musical influences?

TD: My parents have been music ministers for years so I would have to say them first. I have also followed Steven Curtis Chapman and Chris Tomlin's music for years.

CS: Do you ever worry about getting caught up in the world of show biz? That success will change your group?

TD: I always stay at the foot of the cross on that matter!  If I'm looking up at Jesus, I don't havea desire to look at myself.

CS: How long have you been a Christian?

TD: All of my life but came to a full understanding of the gospel as a teenager.

CS: Do you make it a goal to use your music to minister to people? Or do you just write for the sake of writing and performing?

TD: It's absolutely ALL about the ministry!  People need to hear the gospel in word or music! I chose music as my platform.

CS: Do you ever feel that you are not ready Spiritually to be  ministering as you are doing now?

TD: Again, I stay at the foot of the cross. God will do the rest.

CS:  If you could meet any one person, past, present or future, who would you meet?  Why would you choose that person?

TD: I would want to meet King David because despite all of his failures he was still the apple of God's eye and had the true heart of a worshiper.

CS: What kind of relationship do you maintain with your audiences? Do you fellowship with them? Or do you remain distant as the performer?

TD: I am but a human and I always "mingle" with the audience.  They are the reason I'm there.  I always go to my booth andgreet them and thank them for coming out.

CS: Who, aside from Jesus, is or has been the biggest influence in your life?

TD: I would have to say my grandfather, James Hughes.  He's been a pioneer of the gospel for over 50 years.

CS: Do you have any advice to give to the youth of our world?

TD: First of all, If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I urge to give your life to Him, for He is the only means of refuge in this day and time in which we live. Never give up and never give in and always know that there is Someone that loves you, that is ALWAYS listening, and gave His life for you. Nothing is impossible with my God!

CS: How long did you have to wait to get a record label?

TD: I am actually an Independent artist!  God has graciously opened many doors for me to play at events with renound artists and has allowed my music to be on the radio across the country!  People in the industry say that just doesn't happen until after you are signed!  Isn't God good??  What God has in the future ... who knows???CS: What is the message you are trying to get across with your music? TD: I always make it a goal to use my music to minister to people. I want people to understand the simplicity of Christ and hopefully lead them by worship into a realm with Jesus that they might never have been before.

CS: How can you be contacted to book a concert or even buy one of your CD's?

TD: You can reach me at www.toddday.com or aliveclubmusic@sbcglobal.net. Either way, I'll get your message!  You can listen to my music on my website or you can go to www.indieheaven.com, type in my name at the top and it will take you to my artist page.  Click on my name andit will open up!!

CS: What is your musical background? Did you take lessons to gain the musical skills you have now?

TD: With my parents being Ministers of Music, I've always been around music, and the love for music developed within me.  I did take lessons, but I know that God just blessed me with an "extra" ear for music.

CS: Anything else you want to add? Do you have any suggestions or comments directed to the youth of this world?

TD: Hang on!!  Live your life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord!  Always know that He's there and knows what you are going through!  Learn to depend and trust in His never-ending grace!  How can I say that??  I've been there!!
