Aubrey - Band Member for Jeremy Camp
By Jessica

CS: How did your band get started, also share a brief testimony of how you guys came to know the Lord.

Aubrey: The band didn't really get started as we're hired musicians who happen to have known Jeremy for quite sometime. I've been with Jeremy the longest (since Sept. 98). I got saved on June 11th 1992. Nothing to amazing except that the Lord has just been continuing to take out all the things in my life that he doesn't want. I just came to the realization of stopping the fight against God.

CS: What kind of relationship do you all have with one another? Are you one big happy family?

Aubrey: Yes, we are. The Lord has really knit together a really nice group of guys who all support each other.

CS: What is the main focus in your ministry? Teens? The lost? The hurting?

Aubrey: The hurting. People really relate to what happened with Jeremy and Melissa.

CS: Do you make it a goal to use your music to minister to people?

Aubrey: Yes and No. We like that our music touched people but we really like talking to people at the shows and getting to really help them individually.

CS: What is the message you are trying to get across with your music?

Aubrey: I can't speak for Jeremy but it's that in all of life's trials (and there will be plenty) Jesus will always have your back...in the ups and the downs.

CS: Where do you get ideas for your music?

Aubrey: As far as the musical aspect is concerned (which is the only part the band members handle) we use all the bits of knowledge we've gained from listening to all types of music.

CS: What is the biggest thing you have learned from performing and ministering through music?

Aubrey: Music is major but the pure heart is what matters the most. You must have true compassion for the people to really be able to reach them.

CS: Who, aside from Jesus, is or has been the biggest influence in your life?

Aurbey: My mom. I'm an only child from a single mother and she taught me how to be the best I can be in life and to always rely on Jesus for my strength.

CS: What is the most inspirational piece of scripture that you have found that applies to your life?

Aubrey: Lamentations 3:22-24. The peace of God the trancends all of my trouble with a promise of the future.

CS: Please share a short testimony about what God has done during one of your concerts.

Aubrey: Lives being changed. It's hard to pick one show cause people always tell us that the Lord shared with them at so many shows and eased their pains that they're going through. Tough question to answer.

CS: And finally My last & final question is this: What advice can you give to the youth of our world?

Aubrey: You only need three things in your life to stay strong. Prayer time with God, reading the Bible and fellowshipping with other Christians. When you lose any one of those 3 things you'll start to falter. It's a simple formula but one that has so much truth to it.
