CCM's "INDIE SPOTLIGHT" PROGRAM The following information was provided for your benefit by CCM Magazine. Thank you to the Spotlight Program for offering this information to Teens4Jesus. Three months of promotion on CCMmagazine.com, and three months in CCM Magazine! By reserving a spot in CCM's "Indie Artist Spotlight" you are buying a professional advertisement. As such, you are responsible for supplying CCM Communications with the required materials by the given due date. Failure to supply all of the proper materials on time may result in forfeiting your reserved space to another artist on our waiting list. We realize that you are an artist, not necessarily a computer expert, and that some of these technical specifications may be somewhat confusing to you. Please feel free to seek out the help of a computer-savvy friend, family member, or co-worker as you assemble your materials. Or if you would prefer, businesses such as Kinko's are usually able to prepare these types of files for you. CCM also can provide you with scanning and formatting services, for an additional fee of $10 per scan; just send us a CD cover or a photo, and we'll take care of it for you! Remember that your advertisement will likely be seen by a substantial number of people, including music industry professionals. Therefore, you will want to take extra care to ensure that the information in your bio is correct in grammar and spelling, as well as accurate and up-to-date. Again, it is to your advantage to have friends and family members proofread your bio for you. We all "win" by presenting the most professional advertisement possible.* Approximately two weeks before your webpage goes live, you will be emailed a link that will allow you to see and give a final proofread of your page. The page will contain the exact information that you originally sent us. The final proofread is simply your chance to make sure that CCM has not made a mistake, such as putting Carman's audio clip on your page! Please understand that the final proofread is not intended to give you a chance to change your mind about major information on your page. For example, after proofreading his page, one independent artist told CCM that, in fact, he had not actually played all the instruments on his album, even though the original bio he sent us clearly said that he had. He asked us to go back and add the names of all his band members and producers. Another artist sent us her CD, but did not indicate which :30 of each track we should post on our website. When she proofed her page, she noticed we had simply posted the first :30 of each track (which we always do if the artist doesn't specify time codes for us), and so she asked us to instead replace all of those with each song's chorus. In both of these cases, we had to explain that we had created the page with the exact material they sent us, and therefore we were unable to guarantee that the additional changes they requested would be made by the live date of the 1st of the month. CCM wants you to succeed! But we also have an extremely busy web designer who cannot take excessive amounts of time to change things that should have been changed before the material was sent to us. That's why we ask that you take a professional responsibility up front and make sure that when you send us your materials, they are accurate and complete. Please see the third page for specific details about what we need, in order to help make your advertisement the best possible! Thank you very much, and best wishes to you as you take advantage of this tremendous opportunity! :: About the Indie Spotlight Program :: |
